Mid of June I received a surprising email of my genealogy friend, Beatrice Burst, from Gomaringen.
Beatrice has found in the State Archive of Baden-Wuerttemberg a contract about the rental of a farm between Hans Kemler from Gomaringen and the monastery of Bebenhausen, dated in the year 1487!
For me is is defintely the oldest evidence of the name Kemmler I’m aware of in the area of my hometown.
