Charles Walker, grand-son of the emigrant, Johann Friedrich Walker, passed away on Jun 8, 2018 after a blessed life of 96 years. He was still helping out on the farm and supported his son Fred.
Charles was a wonderful man with a tremendous sense of humor and always a smile on his face. He was a farmer his whole life.
In 2002 he and his wife Betty and his brother Lawrence visited Wankheim and Wannweil and explored the area of his grandfather, Johann Friedrich Walker, who emigrated to the U.S. in 1865. Unfortunately he didn’t come back again.
